The bucket trap is a trap you can make on your own at home. To make this you will need a bucket half filled with water. The first thing you will need to do is to remove the handle from the bucket.

Take a pop can, a tin can and poke a hole in its bottom. Thread the straightened wire hanger through it and then threat it through the holes for the handle. If you do this correctly the pop can will be in the centre of the bucket and will roll freely. We asked mice control Toronto professionals for some input. Here it is.

Use a wooden board and lean it onto the bucket to almost create a path for the mouse to climb on the opening of the bucket. Make sure that the board meets the end of the wire on the side of the bucket. Spread some peanut butter on the can and leave over night.

Note that if you are going to be leaving the trap unattended for a while it’s a good idea to use anti-freeze instead of water so that the dead mice don’t smell. As you can see you can work on making your own mouse trap and thus get rid of mouse on your own.
